Wednesday 6 November
We had a good chat yesterday, and have narrowed down the options for a few of the horses that are nearing their next outings. Colebrooke, who worked very well yesterday has an entry in a novices handicap chase in Market Rasen on Sunday, and on the back of his work yesterday there is no reason not to run him. San Telm will have entries on Saturday 17th November in Uttoxeter (but will only run if a suitable jockey is available as the big meeting in Cheltenham will pull the top boys there), and will also have an entry on Tuesday 19th November in Fakenham. Benefit Cut will be entered today for a 2m novices handicap chase in Huntingdon on the 12th. He will be in to have a look, and a decision will be made when we have seen the entries and discussed the race with jockey Paddy Brennan. If we deem it unsuitable he could go to Leicester on the 18th. Maypole Lass is on course to make her hurdling debut on the same Leicester card on the 18th. Smart Exit will head for the Cambridgeshire National on the 23rd as planned, but will have an entry in Towcester the day after just in case the Huntingdon ground is unsuitable. Yesterdays sales target heads to Germany, not Buckinghamshire, but further enquiries continue! Silver Wren has been raised 5lbs for her valiant effort last week - a bit harsh after such a long break!!
