Who will hit the headlines in Towcester this afternoon - Reyno or a certain AP McCoy. Hopefully it will be both of them!! The champ -AP, just needs 1 more winner to get to the incredible milestone of 4,000 winners. A true great of our sport - a fantastic ambassador, and a thoroughly nice man. We will have to live a long time to see another!! Spare a thought for Richard Johnson who has been runner up in the Championship for as long as AP has been winning it!! Reyno has been a bit of a surprise package this season - he seems to have found some speed at home, and is all together more grown up. The boys that have ridden him all think he needs this sort of trip, so he could just surprise a few folks. Omaruru will head to Towcester tomorrow morning for a racecourse gallop. Looking at the fixture list it looks as though he will start getting entries from December 1st onwards. Everything had a fun breeze first lot this morning- with San Telm thoroughly enjoying himself!! Paddy Brennan is off to France on Sunday - strikes permitting - and will be unable to ride Colebrooke in Market Rasen. We will put our thinking caps on with regards to his participation. Smart Exit seems fine, and will head to Huntingdon on the 23rd. Guest Of Honour is also fine, why wouldn't he be? And we will look for a race for him in a couple of weeks. We still have the share in Smart Exit available - I am amazed that it hasn't been snapped up! He is a progressive horse, just coming to himself - a has already shown that he will be a far better chaser than hurdler - and he was a winner over hurdles. He will be aimed at some nice staying chases throughout the season, all of which have some tidy prizefunds!! Please have a look at him on the For sale page and give me a call on 07909 518902 - he really isn't at all expensive!! and the training fees are just £175/month!! Due to some people who think it is great fun to waste my time - we also have a share or two still available in the 3 yr old filly (Tobougg x Forest Pride), she is a half sister to two top class performers in Ireland, her Dam has already bred six winners, and now her half sisters are producing some very exciting young horses - including Provo who is with Paul Nicholls. Our girl is from a very exciting family, and if she does what we hope and wins her bumper, she will become a very valuable commodity indeed!! She is doing her pre-training at Fences Farm and is going very nicely, everyone that has ridden her say how balanced and easy going she is - so she should be able to gallop!! Again - have a look on the For Sale page and give me a call on 07909 518902 for further details.
