Coffers, a homebred 3 yr old of Mrs Robeson's makes his racecourse debut tomorrow in Huntingdon. This good looking son of Bahamian Bounty has been impressing at home, but in a field of unexposed youngsters (some form big yards) he may have his work cut out. The other niggling dlounbt with him would have to be the trip , as his sire is hardly an influence on stamina, but he does get them to stay, so fingers crossed. Benefit Cut will not make the trip with him as he has tweaked a muscle and will have an easy few days for it to calm down. Later this week San Telm will be entered in Uttoxeter, along with Colebrooke in the same race. C will also have an entry in Fontwell on Sunday. Omaruru came through his racecourse gallop in good style, and all seems well with him. He schooled really well last week, and hopefully his chasing debut is just round the corner! Smart Exit remains on course for the 23rd in Huntingdon, and Maypole Lass is still an intended runner in Leicester a week today. We tried very hard to add to the ranks last week, but were ultimately unlucky - I will continue to source a nice horse for some immediate fun, and may now turn my attention to Ireland. Talking of Ireland , it was interesting to see a Scorpion yearling, out of a half sister to our unnamed 3 yr old filly (by Tobougg) achieve third place in the foal show at Tattersalls in Fairyhouse yesterday. Our filly won the foal show when she was sold in Doncaster, and this family is proving to be running as good as they look!! Shares are still available in our girl so please give me a call on 07909 518902!!
