Tuesday 19 November

Many will not believe it until the tape goes up, but Omaruru will run in Warwick tomorrow. They have eased their ground to Good To soft all round and he will be declared to run with Josh Moore pencilled in to ride. It has been an awfully long time 'between drinks' for his oh so patient owners, but we hope it has all been worth while. He is a real yard favourite, and has stacks of ability, so is worth waiting for. He will also have two new owners when he runs tomorrow, and we wish them all the best with their first interest in racehorses, and hope they are lucky owners! Due to a clerical error - there are still 2 shares left available in this gorgeous horse - so if you want to join us in Warwick tomorrow give me a call or email me!! Maypole Lass (seen in the paddock, right) ran a fantastic race yesterday in Leicester. On her hurdling debut, and only her third ever start, she travelled and jumped well, only to fade out of things in the final 2 furlongs to finish a very creditable third. Paddy was delighted with her, and said she is a lovley filly. She will improve for the run/experience and will now head to Aintree for the Listed Juvenile Fillies race early next month. She has returned in good order. Smart Exit has his entry in The Cambridgeshire National on Saturday. It does not look the strongest heat, and he is an intended runner, with Josh Moore once again pencilled in to ride. He is in fantastic form at home. Colebrooke is fine after his win, and we will see what the handicapper does before making a decision about his next run - but rest assured it will be over a trip and over fences!! Timeform have raised him to a rating of 128, which is a mere 10lbs above his highest hurdles mark ( and he was non too shabby in that sphere)!! Guest Of Honour continues to impress at home, and will be entered for a 2m5f Novices Hurdle in Ludlow next Monday. We will look at the entries later this week and make a decision on him running. San Telm is now fully over his bout of colic, and will enjoy a few days easy to recover form both that, and his run.
