Thursday 12 December
As mentioned yesterday - San Telm was none to clever over his obstacles on his chasing debut, but Stuart called this morning to say that he had schooled again early doors and was electric!! ST is entered in Fakenham next Tuesday, and today he has been entered in 2m4f and 3m Chases in Ludlow next Wednesday. We will look at the options and decide where is the best place to go! I made one bid on a lovely horse yesterday to replace Omaruru, but it was declined - I have first option on another that the trainer wants to run one more time - so hopefully it will not be long before we have another new face in the NBR camp!! All the other horses in the yard seem in fine form. After a long chat with co-owner Ben Turner and Stuart yesterday we have decided to let Colebrooke take his chance in Lingfield on Saturday. He looked like he relished the step up in trip in his last run in Fontwell, and we are keen to try him at 3 miles, as Josh said that the further he went, the better he got. He certainly didn't look like a horse crying out to be dropped in trip, so we will give him a crack at the 3 miles and see how we get on. If he stays then he could have some very nice races to go for in the new year!
