Another Saturday, and we are on the road again tomorrow!! A far cry from when we started all this, when a Saturday runner was a luxury!! It just goes to show that the quality of horse keeps getting better and better!! Colebrooke makes the trip to leafy Lingfield tomorrow, for his second chase start, and his first try at 3 miles. We decided to bypass Carlisle where he would be running over his proven trip to have a crack at the extra distance, because if he stays it, it will open up a whole host of valuable opportunities over the course of the next couple of months. He is in great form, and is reunited with Jamie Moore, who takes over from his brother Josh. It may be a pointer that Josh rides one in the race for his Dad instead!! The race is a competitive heat, but if C stays he should run well. Smart Exit has been entered for a 3m chase in Towcester next Thursday. The track and trip should suit, and he is in grand order at home. San Telm has entries in Fakenham (Tuesday) and Ludlow (Thursday) and we will keep an eye on rainfall before we decide where he goes. Carolina Wren and Ereyna also have an entry each in Ludlow - both are engaged in the mares novice hurdle. I allowed myself a peek into the future yesterday, and had a glance at possible races for the 3 yr old un named filly by Tobougg. If all continues to go to plan, she could be ready to run in about 6 weeks, and it so happens that from the 6th to the 21st of February there are 5 mares only bumpers, so hopefully she can have a crack at one of them! If we can time it right, and she runs well on her debut - her second outing could be a listed mares bumper in Sandown in March!! She is going very well at home, and Stuart is delighted with her - he says she has a bit of attitude, which is a good thing for fillies as they are usually tough and that helps a great deal!!
