Tuesday 24 December
Happy Christmas All!! I hope you all have a fantastic time this Christmas, and wish everyone a happy and successful New Year with plenty of winners!! Unfortunately the horses don't know it's Christmas, which means that dedicated stable staff will all be in to work tomorrow, to skip out, exercise and groom the horses in their care - so spare a thought for them all at work as you all open your presents tomorrow morning. Racing kicks off again on Boxing Day, and Fences Farm will now only have the one runner in Towcester, (Reyno) as Genny Wren's trip to Huntingdon will not happen as the meeting has fallen foul of the awful weather over the last couple of days. San Telm will not take up his engagement on Friday as the race has turned out a bit warmer than expected. ST has been raised to a mark of 128 after his Fakenham win. He will run in a handicap on January 7th. Benefit Cut and Maypole Lass have entries on Sunday in Doncaster. Maypole will definitely go, and Benefit Cut will have an entry the day after in Haydock, and we will see what the ground does at each venue. Smart Exit is in great form after his run, and has thankfully been left on a mark of 99 for finishing second. He will now be aimed at a race in Towcester in the middle of January, which will in effect be 2-3 grades lower than the race he finished second in last week!! Have a great Christmas - steady on the pop, and we look forward to seeing everyone soon!!
