Thursday 2 January

Genny Wren makes the trip to Huntingdon this afternoon, and is not without a chance in their 3m handicap chase. GW was running a fine race on her chasing debut in Ludlow last time, until being unfortunately brought down 4 out when travelling very well. She looked like being right in the mix that day, and the winner of the race has gone in twice since, so on paper she has a good chance. The very testing conditions are a bit of an unknown, but she ran Ok on them (in Huntingdon) after a massive layoff once before, so hopefully she will be fine on them. Quite a few of the horses at the yard are having a few days easy after their mid season jabs - but those with imminent entries continue on the go and are in good form. We are still on the hunt for our replacement for Omaruru and have made several enquiries over the holiday period, we will wait for folks to get back to us!! Meanwhile our (now) 4 yr old filly (by Tobougg) continues to improve on the gallops, she is learning her trade every day and is coming along very nicely.
