Thursday 16 January

As mentioned yesterday - all the wet weather is hardly making decisions easy - but we are getting there. Benefit Cut will run in Ascot on Saturday. With both Paddy Brennan and Brendan Powell at other meetings we have secured the services of Sam Twiston-Davies. Sam is a top class young rider and will ideally suit BC, everyone is delighted with the booking - it will be his first ride for Fences Farm. Smart Exit has entries all through next week, but Towcester on Sunday is still the plan, but if they are getting the rain that we are this afternoon it may struggle to be on!! Josh Moore will do the steering. San Telm is the least likely of the trio to run. He will be entered in 3 races next week, and is more likely to tackle a longer trip on a more conventional track. Everyone else seems in great order - we will soon have to think of a name for the Tobougg filly - her turn will not be far away - she is bucking and kicking!! Dawn Commander is also in rude health and I have had a little peak into the future for races for him - they start on the 8th of February and there are 8 options for him throughout the month, all over hurdles for now! Colebrooke will head to Fakenham next week.
