Friday 17 January

Two declared today for the weekend, and two entered for next Thursday. Benefit Cut goes to Ascot with Sam Twiston-Davies taking the ride - his first for Fences Farm. It will be BC's chasing debut, but he is bred to be a chaser and has schooled over fences at home since he was bought for Terence and Howard. If he goes on the ground,(big if) he will run a big race, which would be lovely to give Terence a birthday winner! Unfortunately Howard can't make it to Ascot, which is a big shame as they do a great job for owners, with a fantastic lunch, and it is a treat to go there. Both Terence and Howard both have a share in Smart Exit as well, and both should be in Towcester on Sunday to see him run (Towcester's marquee will be slightly different form Ascot)!! SE is in grand form and despite having plenty of weight he should run well on a course and over a trip that he has already proven himself on. San Telm was not asked to run on the very soft ground. He has been entered in Warwick next Thursday. Colebrooke has an entry in Fakenham on the same day. Let's hope we have a double to report on Monday!!
