Benefit Cut is declared in the 2m 4f Novices Limited Handicap Chase in Market Rasen tomorrow. He will face 5 rivals and it looks a very tight little race. BC is in grand form, and I think that his second in Ascot on chasing debut is the best form on offer and would hope he would run well tomorrow. Sam Twiston Davies was keen to ride him again, and we hope his confidence in the horse is repaid. Smart Exit has an entry in Uttoxeter on Saturday (4.30), it looks a pretty strong renewal with plenty of the entries having some decent recent form. His regular pilot Josh Moore looks like heading for Newbury, so we will start the search for his replacement straight away. We will assess how things look mid week, as SE will also be entered in Chepstow (12th) and if that looks less competitive he may head there instead. SE is in grand form. Today Silver Wren goes in Southwell. A very gallant second on her seasonal debut after nearly 2 years off, and after another little break she could run a nice race. She has looked in good form at home recently. Colebrooke has an entry in Doncaster on Thursday, and we will see what the ground and opposition look like with him. Dawn Commander has come out of his Jumpers Bumper run in good order, and if they put another meeting on like that he could well return for another spin - as he thoroughly enjoyed himself last Friday.
