If you read the Racing Post this morning you would think it was Benefit Day! They are all over Benefit Cut today! BC has received some rave reviews of his last run in Ascot, and the scribes at the Post seem to think that he should be winning today! Hope he delivers. They are right in noticing that Sam Twiston Davies has travelled to North Lincolnshire for just the one ride - he did tell his agent to get him on BC when he next ran, but saying that there has been more than one top jockey attempting to get the spin on him!! Owners Terence and Howard are delighted that Sam rides, and hopefully with another round of bold front running jumping the pair will not be far away! The horses are all in great form at the moment - Silver Wren was yesterday, the second 'galloping grey' from the yard to make the frame. SW had been off games with some niggley little foot problems since her run last year - before which she was off 600 odd days!! The Plan was to jump out handy yesterday, but like Dawn Commander on Friday the plan quickly changed as yesterday SW was hampered by a loose horse after the first and shuffled back. The winner got first run, and SW ran a lovely race to finish third. She will now head to a mares race in Ludlow later this month, but it is over fences where she will be seen at her best! The last five runners from the yard have finished 1,2,P,3,4,3 - long may it continue!! Smart Exit is entered in Uttoxeter on Saturday, but the race looks ultra competitive, and with Josh likely to head to Newbury, we may look at other options next week. Colebrooke is in at Doncaster on Thursday, and Genny Wren has multiple entries later this week - although Taunton, also on Thursday looks favourite! Please note that the Tobougg filly will very soon need a name, so I would be grateful if those of her owners, that have not yet put forward a suggestion, but would like to do so, do - time is marching on, and in true Stuart style it will not be long before he springs it on us that she is ready to run. Deadline Friday!!
