Fingers and toes are crossed today! Hopefully the return to hurldes on a sounder surface, with blinkers reapplied will rejuvenate Colebrooke!! He is in amongst a host of other horses in this race that have a similar profile so if all the above changes work he could run a nice race at a big price! Benefit Cut has achieved a Racing Post Rating of 142 and a Topspeed figure of 122 for his demolition of his rivals on Tuesday. BC has come out of the race in fine form, and the immediate thought was that he would need some time before his next run, but as he didn't have a hard run and has returned in fabulous order, things may change! Watch this space! Smart Exit will be entered for Chepstow next Wednesday. With all the rain about, and Uttoxeter already heavy they have hinted that they may lose the chases there, so he may not get to go. Chepstow will suit equally well, and is a nice race for him, with the added bonus of being far more likely to get the services of regular pilot Josh Moore (and his handy 3lb claim). San Telm is in fine form and still very much on course for Haydock on Feb 15th. The 4 yr old filly continues to learn quickly and is coming along nicely - owners - please remember that the cut off for naming her is Friday - get your suggestions in!! if all continues to go as they are, she will be making her debut this month! Maypole Lass is in fine form, and has benefitted markedly from her short break, she will be aimed at Doncaster on 28th, a race the yard won with Justazippy a couple of seasons back. There is talk that they may arrange another Jumpers Bumper card in Kempton in about a week, and if they do Dawn Commander is very likely to go and have a spin, he thoroughly enjoyed it last time!!
