Two respectable runs over the weekend. Mr Maynard didn't come down the Towcester hill very well, and left his back legs in the hurdle on that part of the track, but ran a nice race to finish fifth. He will be seen to better effect in handicaps - Jamie Moore liked him. Carolina Wren found the good ground a shade lively in Market Rasen yesterday, but once again jumped for fun to finish third. Dawn Commander remains on course for Chepstow on Friday - hopefully they will not get too much rain this week. He worked very well on Saturday alongside San Telm. Not for the first time, Smart Exit caught the eye in behind, but unfortunately Southwell didn't get enough rain for him to run, so we will continue to enter on, but will send him on holiday if no wet stuff arrives! Tomorrow Colebooke makes his debut for Dan Skelton, having moved there to see if he would find his mojo again. Josh Moore rides.
