The change of scenery seems to have perked little Colebrooke up, as he ran out a nice winner of a 2m 4f handicap hurdle last night in Worcester. Racing off the lowest mark of his career, he deserved to win it if back on song an he duly obliged. Congratulations to his owners Ben and Jay. It was the first time Jay had seen his horse win, so that was nice, and he did a smashing interview with Luke Harvey after the race and gave us a nice little plug!! Well done Jay!! This weather is causing a real headache! Market Rasen remains Good, and it doesn't look as though it will get any softer than that with only a few millimetres of rain forecast - San Telm will not be declared and will now head off on holiday. The ground in Haydock has now gone Good to Soft, Good in places. With up to 10mm more rain forecast there before racing, this will make Dawn Commanders participation on Saturday a very tricky decision. He will not be declared in Market Rasen tomorrow, as we will leave the Haydock Decision until the last minute, but if it does come up just too soft, he will have an entry in Aintree a week tomorrow (Friday 16th). A pain for all concerned, but he is a lovely horse that will repay patience!! We will look long and hard at the forecast for Smart Exit as well, as he would want it a tad softer than Good at both the tracks where he hold entries. Of the 2 entries he has it looks as though Plumpton may get the wettest of the weather, making a trip there on Sunday the slightly likelier option. Bloody Weather!!!!
