Wednesday 18 June

Our very exciting new Club horse Cloonacool arrives over from Ireland on Thursday. He will be kept in for a day or two, and will therefore be able to parade for his new owners, and prospective owners on Saturday at midday (12.00pm)at Renee Robesons Fences Farm, Tyringham, Newport Pagnell, Bucks MK19 2EN. It will be a good opportunity to come and see what a nice horse he is, and hopefully watch him do a canter, although I haven't run that by Stuart yet!! He will then be given a little holiday - only a matter of about 4 weeks, before coming back into work and being prepared for an Autumn campaign. I am sure by now you have all seen his form, and it has a very solid look to it - and he looks well up to winning over hurdles in England where the style of racing will surely suit him much better. He does remind me a lot of Benefit Cut, who is also by Beneficial, as he looks like a horse that thoroughly enjoys his racing - so if we can Cloonacool to perform like BC has this year we should be going to some very nice places with him!! Remember his Dam was a top juvenile hurdler!! If you would like to come over on Saturday and see Cloonacool, please let me know by phone call/text on 07909 518902 or email info@nickbrownracing.co.uk All Dawn Commander members are welcome if they would like to pop over and see him in the field. Today Genny Wren takes the trip to Southwell (9.10). Tom O'Brien takes the ride. Genny ran a fine race in Bangor two starts ago, but heavy overnight rain put paid to her chances in Towcester the last day, where she got stuck in the mud. It would be lovely to see her get her head in front - she is of moderate ability, but you can't knock her enthusiasm for life and she richly deserves a win on her card after what she has been through. Maypole Lass' owner Ben Turner has this morning confirmed that he will be pulling on the whites for our Charity Cricket match on June 27th. He should be able to bowl a bit with that frame! Meanwhile his horse Maypole Lass heads off for her wind op today. Having already shown she is well capable of winning a race, this should help her no end, and she is very much one to watch next season! Once again we look like we will have a cracking bunch of horses to go to war with!!
