Money makes the world go round, and yesterday all of our Syndicate/ Joint owners received their winning from last season. There would have been some smiling faces as they opened the post yesterday!! The farrier will be in tomorrow to put the first set of shoes on those that have come in - then it will be a few weeks of conditioning work before they start to get a bit more serious. I logged on to the emails this morning to find that another shrewd couple have decided to take a share in Cloonacool, with the possibility of another one being taken up today, and another going on Monday when holiday makers return!! Shares are going very well, which is always a good sign!! He has had a short break, and is back in now in preparation for a successful Autumn and winter campaign. Please don't delay if you are interested in a share in this good looking son of a Champion Sire - 07909 518902 or email info@nickbrownracing.co.uk Dan Skelton has entered Colebrooke in the valuable 3m handicap hurdle in Southwell on Sunday. If we had kept Dawn Commander in for the race he would have had to shoulder top weight, and give a fair chunk to all bar a couple of his rivals, so, again, I feel the right decision regarding his campaign has been made! DC is in great order, and plans are still to look down the Pertemps route with him this Autumn, starting in Aintree in October. If he proves to be still improving, we could well see him run in some of the very best staying hurdles this winter, but still with the option of the Pertemps Final at the Cheltenham Festival in place. Exciting times - and a lovely problem to have!!
