Tuesday 28 October

Sundays runners Benefit Cut, and Dawn Commander went for a trot around the farm today in the morning sunshine, and both seem fine. BC was understandably a tiny bit stiff for a couple of strides, but soon loosened up and is in good order. Tuesday is a work morning, and Native Princess did her best piece of work to date. Tucked in behind 2 winners in Cloonacool and Smart Exit, she tracked them all the way up the stiff gallop, and stayed with them all the way to the top! She has matured since last year, and has her breathing sorted, so hopefully we can crack on with her now. She will have an entry in Warwick next week, and assess the ground nearer the time. Cloonacool is an intended runner in Huntingdon on Sunday, but eagle eyed members may spot that he has been entered in a 2m 5f novice in Kempton next Monday - just in case! Rest assured Huntingdon is the plan! Maypole Lass has an entry in Plumpton next Monday as well, and we will do our homework on the race. If she bypasses this, Ben Turner, her owner will have to be a bit patient, and she will go to Ascot later in the month for a fairly valuable mares handicap hurdle. Tiger Lily home tomorrow - so all in all good news!!
