Wednesday 19 November

Looking at 2 different weather forecasts this morning - one gives a dry week right through - one gives rain Friday - A dry week would mean that Huntingdon will rid itself of its waterlogged patches and have no problems - and Ascot would dry up to Good o Soft and be OK for Maypole Lass. AC wet Friday could mean Huntingdon being touch and go - and Ascot being to soft for ML - let's hope for a dry time!! It will be a bit of leap of faith to run Cloonacool on soft ground, but he is in rude health, and was tough to hold as he schooled up over the hurdles this morning, so with him on such good terms with himself, it seems the right thing to do. Smart Exit will relish the testing conditions - so either way it will suit him, and he continues in great form! San Telm is still just trotting about, as Stuart thought he needed another couple of days before he started anything more taxing to let his joint settle down. Benefit Cut is in grand form as well, and he will go to Kempton Park on Monday - where he was a winner over hurdles. Sage Grouse has an entry to make her racecourse debut in Ludlow on the same day.
