Three runners in two different places on Saturday. Maypole Lass heads to Ascot if their ground is no slower than good to soft. She is in terrific form, will have the cheekpieces reapplied, and will also be reunited with Paddy Brennan. If she copes with Good to soft she should run well, with her last Ludlow run being franked in Cheltenham last Sunday. Brendan Powell is off to Haydock Park on Saturday, so Josh Moore will take over on Cloonacool, as he is in Huntingdon to ride Smart Exit. Both are in fine form, and we are hoping for a good day. We got close to buying a nice horse in Ireland last night, for Ben and Jay- but were just pipped at the post, so the search continues - we will be patient to get the right one! Sage Grouse will not travel to Ludlow on Monday - she will wait for a couple of weeks, and they will squeeze a racecourse gallop in in the meantime. Benefit Cut will run in Kempton Park on Monday, and Josh Moore will take over the reins. Josh was approached to ride him in the summer, and only missed out on Bc's first run of the season due to being off games with his shoulder injury. I think the two will get on very well together!
