Monday 15 December

It has been a good few days. An early start to Cheltenham on Friday to watch the breeze ups at 8.30. Unraced 3 yr old are breezed up the all weather strip at the side of the famous finishing straight, to give buyers an idea of how they move, before going on to be sold in the evening at the Brightwells sale on the racecourse. The rest of the morning we had a look at a few young horses with either track or point to point form, that were also to be sold that evening. We had our eye on a couple, but for various reasons we left them alone and came home empty handed after a long day! Also coming home empty handed was Carolina Wren from Doncaster. She failed to land a blow off of her mark against the boys and will have to be returned to Mares races to be seen at her best. She seems fine after her run. Saturday, Bob and Chris were over second lot to see their horses. Unfortunately I managed to leave them in the yard, as they had sneaked in without me knowing, but luckily Chris had his 4x4 with him and they were able to drive up the hill and watch them work. Sunday morning, and Stuarts hangover was rudely interrupted by a call from a horse transporter to tell him his newest recruit would be arriving at 6.15am!! Paddy The Deejay arrived from Ireland to begin his career under rules in the UK for The KTDA Partnership. We wish them well with this big son of Fruits Of Love, who has some very decent form in the Irish Point To Point field. He is a beautiful mover, and looks to have a nice future over here. He will start in a bumper in the new year. (Paddy and the hungover are pictured right)
