Friday 2 January

I hope we are all over the New Year celebrations, and have clear heads again now! My New Years eve was a classic - in bed by 10.30! At least I was in good form to show Mark Beesley and his friend Holly around the yard yesterday. Mark has a share in Cloonacool and was keen to catch up with his multiple winner, but also likes to be armed with his notebook, so that he can keep up to speed with the happenings at the yard for his weekly column in the Northampton Chronicle and Echo. It was good to see him. Benefit Cut seems back on song, he was scoped today, and will be blood tested on Tuesday to confirm that he is A1 for his run in Kempton a week tomorrow. Paddy The Deejay missed his run on Wednesday as Warwick was off, which looks like a real shame, as from what we saw him do at home instead, and 4 of the 5 above him in the betting for the Warwick heat getting well beaten in Exeter yesterday - he would surely have gone very well. He will be entered for Huntingdon on January 9th - we are looking forward to seeing him!! Cloonacool is in good order, and is cantering again - he doesn't do days off!! Dawn Commander and San Telm were very fresh yesterday, with Stuart resorting to staying on the farm rather than going around the roads, as they were both rather full of themselves. Native Princess will soon step up her work in preparation for her next run in a Lingfield bumper on January 27th - she looks in great shape. Smart Exit is in superb order as well, and will head to Chepstow on January 16th (not 17th as previously reported). All in all - hopefully we can build on the great results of 2014, and continue to source quality, value horses that can give owners great days out!! See you all soon!!
