Friday 13 March

Yesterday in Cheltenham - was a day for the good guys. A winner for Andrew Tinkler, who partnered Call The Cops to win the Pertemps Final, and Warren Greatrex, who trained his first Festival winner when Cole Harden landed the World Hurdle. These are 2 hard working and genuine men - who richly deserve their spot in the big time! I had said to Warren on Monday that I was going to put the mockers on his week by backing Cole Harden, and he was looking forward to a bold show from him, but I think winning it even surprised him a bit - judging by his reaction just after they crossed the line! He took a team of 10 to the Festival, and the one he really liked - confirmed by a third party yesterday is Paint The Clouds, who runs in todays Foxhunters. He has to go up as a tip today! Although it is not a race I would normally have a bet in. Also in todays Foxhunters is Brackloon High, owner ridden by Andrew Barlow, and trained by Michael Kehoe - this bonny little horse has been in great form between the flags, and should give his connections a great day out!! We wish them luck! Back at home, Benefit Cut was scoped this morning, as usual for him, he was not 100%, but hopefully he will be fine by next Wednesday. While at the yard the vet had a look at Dawn Commander, and is very happy with how his wound is progressing, he also scoped Smart Exit, who was clean, so he can get back to some harder work. San Telm also scoped 100% so all is on track with him. Native Princess will start back on the walker next week, and Maypole Lass should be out gain in a mares race towards the end of the month. Cloonacool is also going very much the right way, and although he will resume cantering this spring, he will not run again. I think it smacks of greed to be going again, this late in the term, and as mentioned, he will be geared up to having a crack at a Listed Handicap in Market Rasen at the end of September. As you will have all lumped on yesterdays quality tip - Cole Harden, and be counting your winnings (18/1 at the time advised) why not splash out and invest in a share in Bold Conquest. We sold a further share in this beautiful horse yesterday, and after seeing what he does at home we are all very much looking forward to cracking on with him in about 3 weeks! He will start of over hurdles, before going chasing again later this year! A cracking type, that his previous yard in Ireland feel 'is sure to win bundles of races in England' Shares are going really well, and we are in the home straight in terms of sales - so have a look at him on our For Sale Page, and get in touch for more details, or to book a visit to come and see him!!
