Friday 27 March

We have plenty to look forward to over the next few days. A good group will be at Fences Farm in the morning to see their horses work - the nice thing is that Stuart reports them all to be in great order - so they should be looking good. On Monday - there are 2 entered to run in Warwick - Benefit Cut in a warm race, and Smart Exit. BC will run as he has very few alternatives, SE may wait to see what the weather does, as the right race for him is in Exeter on Tuesday. The ground is suitable for him in Warwick, and if things were to stay the same he would have to go there as the ground in Exeter is Good. But Exeter are forecast some heavy rain, and if they get that, then he would be better off going down the South West!! Smart Exit is needing rain - one that doesn't is Maypole Lass who has a very good looking entry in Huntingdon on Tuesday. Their ground is Good To Soft, and it would want to dry up for her, hopefully they will miss the rain. Her owner Ben Turner has been putting in the miles this week - he raced up from Cardiff on Thursday afternoon to see both Maypole Lass and Cloonacool, before going to see his 'project' - a rather nice 2 yr old that has been purchased from France, at The Elms Stud. Tomorrow Ben, along with his buddy Jay have their horse Mister Miyagi running in the bumper in Stratford. MM was Course and Distance winner there a few weeks ago in a bumper, and the hope is that he can score again! We wish them the best of luck. MM is trained by Dan Skelton. To all those coming tomorrow - bring nice weather!!
