Wednesday 27 May

Benefit Cut is entered in Fakenham on Sunday. He went very well today, and is an intended runner. Dropping back in trip, he should enjoy the sound surface, and although Fakenham is a sharp track, he is well balanced, and should handle the turns well. Native Princess is entered in Southwell on Tuesday 2 June. She has been going very well, since her enforced layoff, and will get her career back on track in the bumper. Dawn Commander is in fine fettle and will be aimed at Southwell on June 9th. Bold Conquest is enjoying a week or two off - he had been on the go for some time, and will return to work in the middle of June. It was great to see Joe Sealy and Eleanor Sealy on Saturday, with their Daughter Jordan. It was their first visit to Fences Farm, and they enjoyed their visit to the yard. Joe has a share in Native Princess, and also a share in Cloonacool who he got to see out in the field. Cloonacool looks really well and will come back into work in the middle of next month. His target is the Listed Handicap hurdle in Market Rasen at the end of September. Christmas Twenty is also looking really well in the field - out of the whole of the bunch he really catches the eye. I was in Huntingdon yesterday evening to see the form of Maypole Lass's last outing franked in style. The winner of her race in Uttoxeter fairly bolted up last night and makes ML's run in third the last day all the better. ML will have entries both over hurdles and fences I the middle of June. We are at the sales tomorrow, and with luck we could add to the string.
