Another new face, a human one this time, not equine. We have been adding to the equine ranks at Fences Farm over the last couple of months, and I am delighted that we have been adding to the ever growing list of syndicate members as well. On Wednesday Native Princess found herself a new owner - when Claire Coltman ended her sleepless nights of indecision and plumped for a share in last weeks bumper winner! We wish her the very best of luck with her, along with all the other horses she has a share in at Fences Farm. Claire, who lives locally only joined in the fun a couple of months ago, and I did warn her that if she got bitten by the bug, then racing (and winning) gets to be an addiction - More expensive than drugs, but ever so slightly more legal!! After getting her first winner on the board when Bold Conquest won well in Uttoxeter - the bug certainly bit, and Claire is having the time of her life owning racehorses!! It was also a pleasure to welcome Mark Beesley and Mick West to Fences Farm yesterday. Mark, as racing correspondent for the Northampton Chronicle and Echo has visited the yard on plenty of occasions, but it was Mick's first time to Fences. Mick has been an owner for many years, and was very impressed with the set up at Fences Farm. We had a super morning in the sun, we watched Maypole Lass and Native Princess do a canter and a half, and then took a ride around the farm and saw all the horses who are currently out on their holidays. We look forward to seeing Mick and Mark again very soon, as they have agreed to take an available share in San Telm, and we wish them the very best of luck with him. San Telm ran a corker of a race to be fifth in a red hot Pertemps qualifier in Cheltenham last October, but had such a rough race that he cam back stitched and stapled, after which Stuart and the team could not quite get him right. The vet assures us (as far as he can) that the tough little dark bay will be fine after his summer at grass, and we are very much looking forward to getting cracking with him. If you are reading this, and like Claire and Mick and Mark, you fancy getting involved in racehorse ownership, then please get in touch (07909 518902, or email info@nickbrownracing.co.uk). We deliver outstanding results - both with winners and places and make racing fun - come and see for yourself - we have limited shares remaining before the new season - but they start from as little as £25/week (plus capital cost), and all the horses that we have shares available in are winners!!!! Go On - Get in touch, like Claire, you will not look back!!
