Tuesday 18 August

The 'winter' horses are all coming along really nicely - and it will not be long before we are in full swing again. A trip to Fences Farm this morning, good to see the horse looking so well - a real shame that the men that were supposed to be coming to see one of them didn't get there - a pity they didn't let me know!! Native Princess and Wolf Of Windlesham were out first lot, and both are in fine fettle. WOW has been entered in Kempton next Monday afternoon, and if he lines up, he will be Stuarts first runner on the flat. Both will work tomorrow, and all being well NP will be entered in a mares novice hurdle in Fontwell next Tuesday. The next to grace the racecourse will be Christmas Twenty, who is also in fantastic order, and will be heading to a bumper in Southwell on September 2nd. We have a beginners chase in mind for Bold Conquest in Uttoxeter, but he is just suffering from a slight muscle pull at the moment, and although not lame, and still cantering he will be monitored over the next few days to make sure that he is ok. Smart Exit is coming along nicely, and there is no hurry for him as he needs soft ground.
