Welcome overnight rain in Warwick, has left the ground good to soft in the back straight, this should be ideal for Bold Conquest, who returns after a short break. He is fit and well, and is in good heart, so reunited with Brendan Powell, he should run a nice race this afternoon. I had a quick nip over to Fences Farm last night to show off Native Princess to a new man. It was his first visit to Fences Farm, and we are looking forward to seeing him again very soon! Talking of Native Princess - it is interesting this morning to see that Dry Ol' Party who she beat comfortably on her last start in Fontwell has been raised 9lbs for winning last Friday in Newton Abbott, meaning that she is now rated 116. This means that the handicapper, if forced to give NP a mark now, would have to give her a mark of 120! A really nice mare to be able to go to war with over the winter!! Her next possible outing is in Bangor On Dee on October 1st.
