Tuesday 6 October

Bold Conquest is in good order, and will have a couple of entries in about 10 days time. He will be entered in Fakenham (3m 0-140 chase) on the 16th, and Market Rasen (0-125 chase) on October 17th. He will school tomorrow. The ground has gone Good To Soft, Soft in places in Chepstow, so it looks as though Smart Exit will have a day out on Saturday. The rain they got in Chepstow must have missed Ludlow, as their ground is Good To Firm, Good in places, so Wolf Of Windlesham stays at home tomorrow. Dawn Commander is fine after his op, and will be spending his days out in the field, but be in at night. Gosel, who was at the vets with him, but just had his soft palate cauterized, will resume light hacking next week, and he will be joined on his rambles around the farm by Christmas Twenty. CT is on his medication, and will also be on a feed supplement to try and keep the lid on him in the future. No stone will be left unturned in an attempt to get him to show what he has on the racecourse. The form of his debut was franked again yesterday, when Mahlerdramatic, who was 4th in the Southwell race won a bumper in Market Rasen. CT was just 9 lengths behind this horse, and had left his race on the M1 - so it goes to show - there is ability there - he just needs to chill out (a lot)!! Native Princess' knee has healed so well, so quickly, that she has resumed light duties this morning. Stuart will get her cantering away again and then we will look for a race for her, although there are not many options in the immediate future. This morning Kayla has been allotted an opening mark of 103 - which gives Stuart options. Remember to get your copy of the Racing Post Weekender next week - you will get to hear what Stuart has had to say to them in an interview he gave this morning!
