Christmas Twenty will head to Stratford on Thursday. He is going well and has earned his chance to run. He will travel up with a companion, and his raceday will be tailored to ensure that he jumps off and runs some sort of race. He was entered in both Stratford and Uttoxeter, as the layout of the stables, pre parade and parade ring mean that CT can enjoy his day at the races with the minimum amount of fuss. At Stratford it looks as though the most suitable race for him will be the 2m hurdle - although on paper a higher grade, it will in face turn out to be the weaker of the two heats, and they could well go slower (per furlong) in that than the 2 and a half miler, that looks to be contested by some very smart individuals! Kayla will head to Uttoxeter on Friday, and Cloonacool will head to Ascot on Saturday. Josh is in tomorrow to sit on a few. Still here at the sales, and no luck on the buying front - but we will keep trying - it is not easy to get a horse that ticks all the boxes - in fact it was not easy to find a horse that would be sound yesterday and today!! Some of them making frightening money!! Don't forget we still have the opportunity to lease the Al Namix filly, out of a full sister to Bobs Pride (94 rated flat, and 140 rated over hurdles) - please give me a ring on 07909 518902, or email info@nickbrownracing.co.uk for further details.
