New boy Sneaking Budge has settled in really well. He went for a walk and a trot around the farm with Kayla on Saturday with Kayla, and Jo reported him to have a cracking walk and a very athletic trot. Today he had his first real taste of his new career. He headed off to the jumps field to have his first sight of an obstacle. After popping a few poles and a grid, he was soon over the hurdles, and ended up skipping up 3 flights with not a bother. Stuart said he was nicely forward going, and enthusiastic and thoroughly enjoyed himself. Being the half brother to Main Sequence who was second in Camelots Derby, and winner of the Breeders Cup Turf (Champion Older Horse in the USA) he is has a top class pedigree, and with the size and scope and athleticism to be a great jumper he ticks all the boxes - further details can be found on the For Sale Page. Cloonacool is fine, and we will formulate a plan later this week for him. Bold Conquest is an intended runner in Chepstow on Wednesday, he is in fine form and the track and trip will suit. Also added to the For Sale Page is a 2 yr old filly by the same sire as yesterdays classy winner Saphir Du Rhea, Al Namix. She is out of a full sister to the classy Bobs Pride who was rated 100 on the flat, and 142 over jumps, who was herself placed in juvenile hurdles. She is ready to come into training, with the view to running on the flat in Feb/March before embarking on a hurdling career in the summer/autumn. She looks very exciting, and fits into the 'could be anything' box! Please call me on 07909 518902 for further details of any of the horses we have for sale, or email info@nickbrownracing.co.uk
