Monday 9 November

Unfortunately Cloonacool will miss out on a trip to Cheltenham this weekend. Stuart and I both feel that the race will just come a few days too soon for him. He had a hard enough race in Ascot, having made the mistake at the third last and then trying valiantly to get back into it, and we are conscious that we do not want this end of the season to leave its mark. There are plenty of options for him going forward, and we felt there are easier options. These include handicap hurdles in Ascot and Newbury, and a Novice Chase in Kempton later this month. The more likely option is a handicap hurdle in Ascot on Friday 20th November, with the Gerry Fielden Intermediate Hurdle at Newburys Hennessey Meeting, also in the mix. The good news is that Cloonacool is fine, and a few extra days will help Stuart to keep him on good condition, and we must just mind him, with his novice chase career just around the corner - we would hope to end up at one of the spring festivals! Elsewhere San Telm is in cracking form, and he will be aimed at either Haydock on November 20th, or Uttoxeter on the 22nd. Smart Exit is very much on course for Chepstow a week on Wednesday. Native Princes has been examined by the vet today, and been given the all clear to go and be a broodmare. This is great news, and we can now begin the task of getting her sold, and finding her owners another horse for the rest of the season! Wolf Of Windlesham has entries in both Ludlow and Cheltenham later this week. Christmas Twenty is in good shape, and his form will be further tested later this week - we look forward to seeing how that works out. Sneaking Budge will school tomorrow in front of a prospective new owner, he will not disappoint, as he schools very well - a real natural. I am just waiting for the all clear from the BHA regarding his Partnership, and we could well be underway with him within the next 2 weeks! So be quick if you would like a share in him. All the shares will be sold by the time he runs for sure!! 07909 518902 or info@nickbrownracing.co.uk Another placed effort for the yard today - they remain in good form.
