Thursday 31 December
Happy New Year to all of our owners, members, friends and followers. Let's hope 2016 brings us plenty of nice horses, and plenty of winners. 2015 has been a year of change. Stuart always due to take over the license from Mrs Robeson in February, only for her to pass away suddenly in January! She is sorely missed!! Through the year we have lost equine friends as well - DC from colic, and the yard also lost Benefit Cut on the track in December. These horses area also sorely missed, and their shoes are difficult to fill, although we hope to be adding to the string with a couple of nice prospects over the course of the next couple of weeks! Please get in touch if you would like to be put on the list for a 4% share in a quality 6 yr old from Ireland. A winner over hurdles, he is a smashing chasing prospect. Shares will be £600 + £25/week all inclusive.(07909 518902, or email info@nickbrownracing.co.uk) We have had our fair share of success - DC winning in Warwick, Cloonacool winning a Listed hurdle in Market Rasen, and Stuart landing a Grade 2 in Cheltenham with Wolf Of Windlesham! Hopefully 2016 will bring further success and we kick it off tomorrow with Christmas Twenty in Fakenham. A super run on his second start over hurdles where he was 2 lengths behind a horse now rated 137, and in front of two horses rated 120 means that he looks nicely handicapped on 115 - he is growing up at home, and the step up to 2m 4f will very much suit, so if he takes the trip to Norfolk ok, then he is in with a big shout in my book, and he is a big price! Saturday, Sneaking Budge will head to Sandown - the race looks like it will cut up, and he is in fine form! Cloonacool worked this morning under regular work rider Jo, who reported him to be as well as he has ever been - so he will head to Ludlow on Monday. All systems go!! Have a great night, whatever you are doing and all the best for the new year!!
