Smart Exit makes the trip to Chepstow again tomorrow - he must have a season ticket! But in fairness it is one of only very few tracks that seem to suit him. SE makes himself look quite slow on the racecourse, but I can assure you that he works with all the decent horses at home, and works well with them, he is anything but slow - that is why, in the past they resorted to cheekpieces with him. These seemed to work, but when the effect of those seemed to be wearing thin, they tried a visor - this just didn't work and he resented their application. On the back of that all headgear was removed, and accordingly his form improved, as it sometimes does when you take it all off. This was going fine until his last couple of runs, where he has pulled up. Blinkers have been tried at home, and seem to work, so he will sport them tomorrow, but if they prove ineffective we will have to have a serious think, and he could well be off to find another discipline. Brendan Powell will ride tomorrow, as Cieran Gethings has to go to Aintree to ride in the conditional jockeys race after the Grand National. One thing is for sure, Brendan will get him jumping really well! SE was scoped this morning and was fine. Also scoped was Bold Conquest, who too was A1 - he will head to Exeter on Tuesday, where it looks as though Brendan will be reunited with him. San Telm is entered in Cheltenham next Thursday - he is in fine form, and we are looking forward to going there with him. Tomorrow, new boy Pull Together will go on the market in 20% shares. There has already been interest, and if it goes this way then 3 shares are already spoken for as such. This means that just 2 remain - so be quick if you would like to get involved in this very exciting prospect. He was third in his Irish Point to Point, and the winner of that race was sold for £55,000 last night, along with the second who made £45,000. PT was 3/4 of a length behind the winner and a mere head behind the second, so you can see that he is outstanding value at £25,000! The 20% shares are priced at £5,000 each, and look as though they will be sold out by the middle of next week!
