Christmas Twenty added to his in and out record in Kempton yesterday, where disappointed in the 2m 5f handicap hurdle. He went off second favourite, and went there on the back of a very decent 2nd place in Wetherby a month ago. Confidence was high, none more so than jockey Josh Moore, who felt CT had a cracking chance of gaining a first win. With little pace on he bounced out, and although his jumping lacks a little finesse he travelled ok for a circuit. Shortly afterwards he came under pressure and weakened out of things turning out of the back straight, eventually finishing well detached. It very much looks as though the race was one too many for the season, and he will now head off on holiday. Another who is heading off for a short holiday is Bold Conquest. He too ran too badly to be true on Saturday, and was reported to be slightly sore in his hind quarters on Sunday. He will go out in about a week and spend a time in the field to let all of his aches and pains subside. All the shares are now sold in 4yr old Pull Together, and just 2 remain in Molly Childers. The remaining 2 shares (of 8) are priced at £3,250 + £250/month, with the form of her second place in an Irish Point To Point being franked in some style this weekend I don't envisage these shares being available for very long, so get in touch if you would like to see her. She will be heading off for her summer break, but will be available to view (by appointment)at The Elms Stud. 07909 518902 or info@nickbrownracing.co.uk
