Tuesday 24 May
It's time to dust off the kit! The annual NBR XI v Eversholt XI Charity cricket match is on Friday 24th June at 6.00pm. The usual format applies, and those that have been before will know what a great night out it is - a great way to meet up away from the horses and have some fun! Play will begin (weather permitting) at 6.00pm and we will have a very competitive 20/20 match with our hosts. If the weather prevents play there will be a rounders match on the outfield for everyone to take part in! There will be a hog roast, provided by Crackling Fayre, which is always well received! And of course the Bar will be open. Please come along - and let me know if you fancy pulling on the whites!! A lovely sunny morning over at Fences Farm and ood to see Paul and Jan. Paul has taken a share in Pull Together, and came over to cast his eye over the new Flemensfirth filly. I think he liked what he saw - to be fair there is not a lot to dislike about her! She has now been backed and was ridden up the drive for the first time today. She is very forward going and has a bit of spirit about her which is what you like to see! They also got to see Brendan Powell, who was in for a couple of lots canter Kayla, alongside Bev on Ereyna. Brendan then rode Sneaking Budge, and said he felt fresh and well. It will not be long before he can join his mates in the field - but judging by how he was this morning - he quite likes his stable! See photo.
