Congratulations to Stuart and his team at Fences Farm, who got on the score sheet for the new season with a gutsy win from Kayla in Towcester this afternoon. Kayla does not have the best breathing in the world, despite a number of surgical attempts to rectify it, so she really needs a sound surface to give her as much help as possible. Todays rain was not a positive, but thankfully she got away with it, and under Josh Moore, stayed on resolutely for the win. She is tough and consistent and will hopefully be winning again this summer. It was lovely to see the colours of her former owner and breeder Mrs Robeson back in the winners circle! Back at home and the 3 yr old Flemensfirth filly will head to The Elms Stud this week - she will return to Fences Farm in the autumn.
