A great few days in Ireland at the Tattersalls Derby Sales. Three full days of mainly 3 and 4 year old store horses, and sure to be some future stars in there! We struck early, and we believe struck very well - with the purchase of a fine big son of Kalanisi (left), who has been purchased for a client, and will eventually head to Stuart in the Autumn, and be prepared for a bumper - hopefully next spring. He has travelled over to the UK and has settled in well at a breaking and pre training yard, and will be broken in over the course of the next few weeks before heading off out to grass once again. He is a cracking sort, and because he was through the ring early, I think he was outstanding value - if he had been catalogued a couple of hours later he would surely have been nearly double the price - on the back of a record breaking trade that saw 32 horses break the 100,000 Euro mark in the first two days! We continue on the hunt for nice horses, and are having a stunning 4 yr old vetted in France today! I am really excited by this horse - who has won two of his 9 starts, and been placed in a further 4!! Keep in touch for further details if the vetting goes to plan!!
