Wednesday 20 July
All the holidays are over! Today Sneaking Budge, left the summer turn out field and headed for his stable. He and Wolf Of Windlesham are the last of the horses that summered out at Fences Farm ro return to 'action'. Both of these 4 yr olds had been on the go for a long time, and deserved a good rest. SB's season was curtailed in February with a minor hock injury sustained in his stable. It is now 100% and we are very much looking forward to cracking on with him. This means that all of our horses that are due to start the season this Autumn are back in - there are of course some very exciting youngsters to come back, but they will spend the rest of the summer out at grass. These are Top Garry of Ben Turners, a 3 yr old Kalanisi gelding, purchased last month at the Tattersalls Derby sale in Ireland for Paul Wells, and the 3 yr old Flemensfirth Filly purchased at the Goffs Spring Store sale in February. Pauls horse is currently being broken in by Jamie Goss over near Banbury, before joining both Top Garry the Flemensfirth Filly at The Elms Stud for the rest of the summer. All three are very exciting, and there are just 2 shares left in the Flemensfirth Filly - so get in touch - nickbrownracing@gmail.com
