NOW A WINNER ON UK DEBUT!!! Everybody - meet Apasionado. This gorgeous 5 year old chesnut has been purchased from Ireland where he has been placed third in 2 of his 3 bumpers. His debut was made in awful conditions on Boxing Day and can be ignored, he looked like winning his latest start earlier this month, only to be hampered about a furlong out, after which he couldn't quite get going again. The jockey that day felt he was unlucky. The horse that finished 3 lengths in front of him that day, and had a far better passage, has now franked the form in some style by easily winning his next start in a bumper - earning a Racing Post Rating of 114, and a Timeform Rating of 98+ - That horses name is Stolen Diamond, and Timeform had this to say about him -'built on debut promise, a really encouraging start to his career overall; in touch, smooth headway end of back straight, produced to lead over 2f out, in command quickly; may do better still, and sure to win more races.'Apasionado is by Mamool, and those that remember the fantastic grey Dawn Commander, will remember that he was also by this very underrated stallion. I have been looking for a horse by Mamool for some time! Dawn Commander is the best horse by the sire to have jumped a hurdle (yet), and like Apasionado, came from a very good German family. Apasionado's Dam has bred 4 winners to date, two of them being good enough to earn black type on the flat - in fact one of them was a Group 3 Winner!! He really is bred very well, and looks the part. Timeform have this to say: 'brother to 2 winners in Germany, including 13.5f winner Apisata, and half-brother to 2 winners there by Areion, including useful winner up to 11f Ashantee: dam useful German 1m/9f winner: fair form in bumpers: 7/2, 3½ lengths third of 10 to Burrows Lane in maiden event at Kilbeggan last time' He stands 16.1hh and moves beautifully. His bumoer win came at Market Rasen and was the joint quickest time for a bumper at the venue in the last three years - including a faster time than no less than Altior (Supreme Hurdle Champion), and Southfield Vic!! He can be seen below following Wolf Of Windlesham in a routine canter. He should be ready to run in a month or so after settling in! I can't wait to get going with him, as I feel he has a very bright future! Just a couple of shares left at £3500 each, Plus £185/month.
