Thursday 29 September

Plans are being 'pencilled' in for a couple. Pull Together who has returned from a short quiet spell in fine form is very much pleasing Stuart in his work, and two possible races have been found for him. The first in Chepstow on October 9th, and the second is Market Rasen on the 15th. Both are bumpers - but his participation will very much depend on the weather as he would not want the ground too quick. The forecast for next week looks mainly dry which may preclude a run in Chepstow, but he will have an entry just in case. He has been working well in the last week or so, but Stuart would like to run this 4 year old, and leave a bit to work on as he is only 4 and hopefully has a long and prosperous career ahead of him! The weekend winner Apasionado has come out of his race in good shape, and next up, will make his hurdling debut. The aim is to get him qualified for the EBF Final, while there is some decent ground about, so the two possible dates are October 13th in Uttoxeter, and the 27th in Stratford. Where he goes will depend on how he schools between now and then, and again what the weather does. The vet is in tomorrow to scope a few before they quicken up. Sneaking Budge is one, and Bold Conquest will be scoped as well to see if he is clear of the mucus that was found after his run in Warwick. If all is well he will work on Saturday, after which a plan of action will be made.
