Great to see Bold Conquest return to form yesterday, with a great run to be second in Chepstow. Strange to be watching on the TV for change, and I really missed being there, but unfortunately some things you just can't get out of! Those that did make the trip were well rewarded. BC ran a cracker, enjoying the steady gallop, jumping superbly, and battling all the way up the home straight. A shame he just ran into one that improved for the step up in trip! Stuart reports him to be in fine fettle this morning, and is spending the day in the field enjoying himself! We will look for another race for him in 3-4 weeks, which could be back at Chepstow, or he may follow the same route as last season and head to Doncaster. Either way it is great to have the little horse back on song!! Cloonacool is all set for the weekend! It looks like there will be a couple of decent horses in opposition, but he will go there in fine fettle, and hopefully put up a really bold show! Today Stuart runs Piquero in Fakenham, a likeable horse, the experience will do him the world of good. After todays run he will have a short holiday.
