New girl Chandos Belle has been declared in Wolverhamptons 3.10 on Wednesday. A 1m 4f fillies handicap she is top rated in the race, although it will only be her second start on a synthetic surface. She shapes like a stayer at home, and her best form is on a softer turf surface, which makes her ideally suited for the purpose for which she has been purchased, so Wednesday is very much a sighter with her. She has the form in the book to go close, but we would not be at all disappointed if that were not to happen, as hurdling is her main aim. Molly Childers has an entry in Wetherby on Wednesday, and has also been entered in Doncaster on Friday. The weather today has been pretty bloody wet - and the ground in Wetherby could get very soft - Doncaster will take a bit of rain, and also drains very well, so although Fridays heat is an open bumper, and she will have to take on the boys it may be the better option, as we do not want to pull her about on her first start of the season. Good to see the team bang in another winner this afternoon in Kempton - they are in good heart - despite a couple of recent reversals they have 7 winners this season from just 29 runners, a 24% strike rate - right up there with the best yards in the country!!
