Wednesday 30 November
A frosty cold morning, but with that was some breathtaking views. Good to see John and Ken. Second lot we saw Chandos Belle do a gentle canter (top) she seems back on song. Cloonacool did his bit well. Apasionado (second photo)swung off the top and looks in fine fettle before his run on Friday. We have decided to go to Sandown, as the ground will be suitable, and it is the right time to try the increased trip. It will be a tough assignment but we hope he is up to it! Looking forward to seeing what he can do!! Molly Childers went out first lot, and she will run again in 2-3 weeks. She has come out of her Friday run in fine fettle, and seesmsharper for the experience. She will be kept to bumpers this season, so as not to spoil her novice hurdle status. Her main aim will be the Listed Mares bumper in Sandown in March - and to this end she will run before Christmas, then in early Feb, and then in Sandown in March. Hopefully the plan works - she is a nice filly, and Stuart will go slowly away with her. Sneaking Budge had a trot up the gallop, and is looking great - I am sure it will not be long for him. Pull Together, had some treatment from the vet yesterday, and had an easy day on the walker as a result. He is working well, and will hopefully be ready to go in 2-3 weeks as well. Third lot we got to see the 3 yr olds. The Flemensfirth Filly and Top Garry did 2 canters, and are doing it nicely, as is the Kalanisi, although he didn't do as much as he missed a days work yesterday. It really was a beautiful morning!!
