Don't you just love good vibes!! That is all that is coming out of Fences Farm at the moment!! There are a number of new horses at the yard, and yesterday Stuart gave an upbeat bulletin on every one of them. First up - Land League - this imposing, quality horse is an Irish Point To Point winner, and has actually been over here for a few weeks, but despite having him around for a while he feels like a new addition, as it has taken until this week to get him healthy enough to do anything remotely serious with him. He came form Ireland having had a very busy autumn, and arrived a very sick horse. He has been on the easy list, and has had a couple of courses of different antibiotics, and is now all clear. Yesterday Stuart rode him himself, and they just went a bit quicker for the first time, and Stuart was extremely pleased with him. He says he has a lovely long stride, and gave him a great feel. He reports him to be 'Very nice'. The shares are selling well in him, and I do have people in this week to see him, so don't miss the boat - get in touch if you would like to come and see him, and get involved in the 12 strong team that will own him. I believe this horse has a really nice future over trips between 2 and 2 1/2 miles, and has in no way been seen at his best in 3 mile Point To Points. Also pleasing everyone is Maria's Benefit, who has arrived and is For Sale. Marias Benefit dead heated in her only Irish Point To Point in Dromohane last month. She led from 4 out, and despite making a slight mistake at the last, and losing the lead, she battled back to finish with a share of the spoils, suggesting that she is both talented and tough. Dromahane form is always worth following, as it is one of, if not, the best Point To Point tracks in Ireland - and the form of this race is no different. After she was led out of the sale ring unsold on Friday evening, the 3rd, 4th and 5th from her race went and finished 1st, 2nd, and 1st in two divisions of 4 year old mares maiden point to points on the Sunday. She too has just begun to quicken up, and will do a proper piece of work with Land League on Saturday, but Stuart is really pleased with her as well, and thinks she is a cracking filly. Her form suggests that she is well up to winning a mares bumper in the UK, and she will be making her debut over here in January. There will only be a maximum of 3 shares in Maria's Benefit, so if you would like to own a share in her you need to call me quickly as I do have 2 interested parties already!! We think she could be as nice as Molly Childers, and we know how nice she has turned out to be! It could be that we end up with two really nice fillies in some top races in the Spring! The third glowing report is for Chandos Belle, who has turned the corner in the last couple of weeks and is now working very nicely. She had a problem come to light about 10 days ago - one that she has been struggling with for quite some time, but now that she has rid herself of this, she has sparked into life in no uncertain terms. She is brighter, looks way better in her coat, and her work has been very good. Hopefully she can take it forward on to the track when she makes her hurdling debut in Doncaster on the 29th. Cloonacool is in fantastic form, and heads to Kempton on the 27th. I am trying to organise a box for the day, so it would be very helpful if his owners could let me know if they are able to make raceday, so that I can get a handle on numbers. Thanks. Pull Together is also going well, and will hopefully make his debut in a bumper on New Years Eve in Warwick.
