Thursday 22 December

It is the early bird that catches the worm they say - so with a meeting at 10.00am in Northampton, Kevin was at Fences Farm before dawn to see some horses out at exercise. Specifically in to see one horse, Land League, it was good to see him stride on off the top of the hill with fellow new inmate Maria's Benefit. It was worth the early alarm, as both showed themselves off to some effect. It was the first time I had seen each of them go quicker and both really took the eye. LL has a fantastic, long athletic stride, and MB just seemed to get low to the ground and really move. Both of them are Irish Point to Point winners, and both look to have a bright future. They will both make their debuts in January. Kevin was impressed and has purchased a share in Land League, and we wish him the very best of luck with him. Also out first lot was Chandos Belle who just did one canter as she worked well yesterday. Cloonacool did a swinging piece as well, and looks great. The vet was in over breakfast to scope a few, including Cloonacool who was fine and is ready to run. You can join Kevin in the ownership of Land League, (and you don'y have to be at Fences Farm before dawn). Shares are priced at just £1200 per 1/12 share, plus an all inclusive £200 per month training/keep fee. There are also just 2 shares left in Chandos Belle, who will run in Doncaster next week, and if you want to join a small Partnership, there is the chance to join in with Maria's Benefit, who Stuart believes could be aiming at the same Listed Fillies bumpers that Molly Childers has had her whole season based around. Both Molly and Maria could be lining up in Sandown, Aintree and Punchestown at the end of the season! Lovely to have two high class fillies that we can be thinking along these lines with!! Get in touch if you would like further information on any of the shares available. nickbrownracing@gmail.com
