Sunday 26 February

Grey warbler ran a really nice race in Warwicks concluding bumper on Friday - she was just beaten for second - resulting in Stuart coming out with the cracking line - 'seconds were getting boring anyway'! She will be a great fun mare over obstacles. She has come out of her race fine. Yesterday it was good to see a Olly H, Olly C, Ryan, Ryan and a hungover Ben! All in to see their horses. Second lot they saw Maria's Benefit do a three parts piece of work with Molly Childers, Apasionado cantered, Kingsley went really well in behind with another. Maria's Benefit has an entry in Newbury on Friday, the ground will need to be decent. Molly Childers is on course for the Listed Bumper in Sandown on March 11th - she will sport cheekpieces. Kingsley will soon be getting an entry for his bumper debut. Chandos Belle is in great order, and looked very good in her work - she will have an entry in Fontwell on March 8th.The Flemensfirth filly, who will be named Queenohearts in the near future cantered. She is having to have an easier time of things for a while as she is struggling to keep her condition while in harder work. This is just down to her age, and things will change as she matures. Third Lot we saw four really nice pieces of work. Land League (near side) worked well upsides Pine Warbler, with Tricky Silence (near side) doing an eyecatching piece alongside Domesday Book in behind. These had given the front pair a 5 length start at the bottom, and both worked great. Tricky Silence has done nothing but improve since arriving, and has earned himself the possibility of a crack at a bumper. He will have entries next weekend, with Doncasters Bumper on Saturday a distinct possibility, a race in which the experience he has gained in the Point To Point field will stand him in good stead. Land League will run on the same card - and shares are available in him if you would like to go there as an owner!! (07909 518902). Cloonacool cantered yesterday, and was reported to be in fine form. He is bucking and kicking and seems in great order - hopefully the blood tests will confirm this next week, and he will soon be back on track. Top Gary has had a few days on the walker due to a foot problem, but was back being ridden yesterday.
