Monday 8 May

Good to see Paul Wells this morning. Paul popped in to see his horse Kingsley at Fences Farm. Kingsley has had some sarcoids removed last week, but other than the scars from the lazer treatment, he is looking good. He is currently out with Land League, and Reyno, in a padock close to home, but soon he will rejoin his mates in the summer turn out field. Land League (pictured top) is recovering well from his fall, and the swelling is going down every day. He too looks great. He gained another owner this morning, when a very shrewd judge - who knows a thing or two about horses took one of the two remaining shares - we wish him and his family the very best of luck with LL!! Just one share left now!! We popped up the top of the hill to see the two new boys canter. They can be seen below - with Classic Ben nearside, and Theclockisticking far side. Both are lovely horses, and are For Sale. After Fences Farm we headed off up to The Elms Stud to see the horses there. First off we popped in to see Savingforvegas and her colt foal 'Elvis' - both are doing fine. Their owner Ben Turner is delighted with their progress! Then up to another field to see Pull Together, Wolf Of Windlesham, Sumu and Franc Roc. They all look great - can't wait to get Pull Together back - he is a smashing prospect! We then headed to another paddock to see Molly Childers, Maria's Benefit and Queenohearts. Molly looks great, but she could get fat on fresh air, the other two are fine, but they all could do with a bit of warmer weather, and a drop of rain! All in all a good tour around! Saturdays runner Tricky Silence seems fine after his run. Thanks very much to Michael and Jamie for leasing him to us - today he returns to Jamies, and will have a summer break before resuming his career in the point to point field.
