Nice to get over to Fences Farm for a couple of hours this morning. Had a good look at our horses that are there in the fields enjoying their holiday. Land League (top) looks great - he has 100% recovered from his fall, that left him with a haematoma - and will return to his stable tomorrow. He will be joined by Cloonacool (Middle) - who you could say has 'summered well'. he is as big as a bullock, and a few weeks of exercise will be needed to get him back in shape! They will have a set of shoes on on Thursday - and it will be back to work for them!! Sneaking Budge (Bottom) looks really well, and all of the swellings that plagued him last winter have gone, and hopefully we will get a clean run with him this winter! New Boy Classic Ben also looks in good order - as I mentioned last week - the shrewd judges really rate the form of his penultimate Point To Point run, as they have spent big money on the horses that contested it. Today his form just got a bit better! The horse that was 20 lengths or more behind him when he fell at the second last when bang in contention in his last race in that field has won the last 4 yr old maiden of the season. The winner on that day was sold for £55,000 in April - so it looks as though this form is very strong as well. As I said last week - he is fantastic value, with just 10 shares available at £2,500 each! So please get in touch of you would like to join this small Partnership, with a horse that ticks so many boxes!! 07909 518902 or nickbrownracing@gmail.com
