New girl Kaloci arrives today, and we are very much looking forward to getting going with her! There has been massive interest in her - and I don't think I have ever had as much interest in such a short space of time for a horse with 25 share holders! It was only last Wednesday that I was offered her, (and instantly snapped her up)!! So to have just 5 shares left after a week is amazing! To be fair she is sort of a stand out - which is why we were quick to get her - she has had two runs in bumpers - both on ground she really doesn't want, finishing fifth last autumn, and third earlier this month in Uttoxeter - the owners ensure me that there will be considerable improvement in her, as she had a really good blow after her Uttoxeter run- and that she will be lots of fun over the winter months when she gets her optimum conditions of 2m4f + , soft ground and a few flights of hurdles. The plan is to give her a couple of weeks off, and then crack on with her. A deal has been agreed for the 2017/18 season.
